Evening Makeup Look - ft. Beautycounter
I had the best weekend in LA with my fam and one of my favorite things to do on vacay is to get all dolled up for dinners. SF is generally a very casual city so I don’t typically wear this much makeup day to day.
Before I left, I stocked up on a bunch of new makeup from Beautycounter. I have been a fan of Beautycounter for a while and If you are not familiar with the brand, they are one of the leading clean beauty and skincare companies. They are also huge proponents for enacting federal laws that will regulate the safety of ingredients used in personal care products which have not been changed since 1938! I love the mission of this brand and am obsessed with their high quality clean products. Check out my look and all the products I used below!
Beautycounter Products used:
Radiant All Over Bronzer Dune $38
Really nice buildable bronzer with no sparkle or sheen.
Velvet Eyeshadow Palette Classic $50
Obsessed with this palette. Here is what I did to get this look: I always use a little bit of my bronzer as a base for my eyelids so here used their bronzer in Dune, then used a dome shaded brush like this one to put Cinnamon all over the bottom half of my lid. Then using a smaller more refined brush like one to apply Burnished along the lash line and I then went back in with Cinnamon to darken the outer corners of my eyelids. I then used Ivory and Sahara for the inner corner of my lids and finished with Penny over the whole lid. I was sun kissed from the sun and this palette is super warm and golden and I think complimented my skin tone perfectly.
Color Outline Eye Pencil Black - $24
After doing the shadows I always go in with an eye pencil super close along my lash line and never go all the way to my inner eye. I love that this brush has a smudger on one end which helps blend the pencil into the shadows and gives a more smokey look.
This mascara is amazing and with such a big brush my lashes felt super full and probably heavier than I would wear for everyday but perfect for going out.
Move over boy brow, I have a new fav brow gel. : )
When I first opened the tube I was sceptical of the shade I chose and thought I was definitely not going to like it, but once I put it on and especially since I had a sun kissed glow I loved the the nude/mauve/pink buildable color.
